That remarkable little Worcestershire Town -
Designed, administered and published by Anthony Green
The principal shopping area in the town is the Kingfisher Centre. This was developed as part of the expansion of Redditch to provide a modern fully enclosed shopping centre in the middle of the town. The centre totals over 1 million sq ft and boasts a wide range of national and local shops, numerous refreshment outlets, offices, an Ecumenical Centre and the Worcester Square exhibition area. It also houses the outstanding Paolozzi Mosaics, which were funded by the Redditch Development Corporation, the Needles Industry Group, and the Arts Council of Great Britain.
Full details of stores and activities can be found at Kingfisher Shopping
Redditch Open Air Market is situated in Market Place adjacent to the Public Library and near to the landmark St Stephens Church. With over thirty regular traders, Redditch Open Air Market offers shoppers a wide variety of goods; fruit and veg, mobile phone accessories, flowers, plants, carpets, bedding, wool haberdashery, pet foods / accessories, clothing, jewellery, domestic appliance spares, fresh meat and fish and hot and cold refreshments
Of course, within the local area of the town, there are all the major supermarkets, plus a wide range of large and small stores within the commercial areas and local centres providing the full range of services which you can expect from a modern town.
